GICLEE FINE ART PRINTS

GICLEE PRINTS Giclee (pronounced gee-clay) is a French term meaning to sqirt. Giclee prints are prints produced by inkjet printers and printed onto specially coated art paper. These prints are arguably the highest quality prints available at this time. As no screen or mechanical devise is used there is no visible dot screen patern and so reproduction, colour matching and sharpness are of the highest quality. In America there are art galleries devoted to selling giclee prints, and some prints by leading American artists are selling for prices as high as $30,000. According to ''Digital Fine Art Magazine'' American collectors spent $160million on digital prints in 1997. This is the perfect medium for creative artists and creative photographers to reproduce their art work.
